BEFORE -

The Building was the former home of a trade school, a clothing manufacturer, and a work-release program. It's eight-stories had been vacant for nearly two years when Star Realty got involved in 1996. At a time when few were willing to gamble on the Regional Renaissance, Star Realty paired up with the Bitz Foundation to help the city of Pittsburgh realize a vision.

AFTER -

The Bitz Foundation, founded by Francois Bitz the "F" in Pittsburgh based FORE systems, Inc., helped the property realize it's full potential. Construction has been completed, converting the property into a mix of residential and cultural uses.

The building also serves as home to CAPA, a state-of-the-art performing arts school much like the one portrayed in the movie "FAME".
